WHO CAN PLAY?

Junior boys who are 16 and under and are members of a golf club within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

WHAT AGE GROUPS COMPETE?

We have three categories. Under 16 years old, under 14 years old and under 12 years old on 1st January.

WHAT HANDICAPS DO PLAYERS NEED?

Under 16s must have a handicap index of 15.4 or less. Under 14s and Under 12s must have a handicap index of under 24.4 or less to enter.

WHAT PRIZES ARE THERE?

There are first and second prizes up for grabs for both net and gross scores in each age category. Points are also available for the Futures Tour Order of Merit with further prizes. Each scratch winner from each age category wins a medal which is awarded at our final event at Frilford Heath.

HOW DO I JOIN THE TOUR?

All players must join the Tour. This costs £17.50 and players will be given a Footjoy Futures Tour shirt when they play in their first event. The form, along with the parental guidance form can be found on our website.

HOW DO I ENTER AN EVENT?

Entries are all done online. Each event costs £20.00 and entries close two weeks before the event date. A draw will then be made and players emailed with their tee time. If we have too many entries, there will be a ballot based on handicap index.

HOW DOES THE ORDER OF MERIT WORK?

There is an Order of Merit for each age category – Under 12s, Under 14s & Under 16s. The top 15 players on the gross leaderboard will earn Order of Merit Points. 20 points for 1st, down to 1 point for 15th. The best 6 points awarded will count towards the Order of Merit total. The winner at the end of the season will be the player with the most points. 

A WORD FOR PARENTS

We want the Futures Tour to help develop the games of young, talented athletes. With this in mind we don’t allow caddies and ask parents NOT to advise or walk with their sons when playing on the course. Boys need space to work on not just their shot making, but also their strategic knowhow, social skills and mental fortitude. Parents MUST keep a 30 yard distance from players (except when looking for balls) and parents not willing to observe this request will not be allowed to enter their children into future events.
