2018 Hub Centres

Hub Centres

Our mission is to develop a network of Hub Centres that prepare young golfers in all disciplines to be able to compete at the very highest standard of amateur golf. The Hub Centres are the first stage of the BB&O Performance pyramid and we are looking for golfers U12 on 1st January who have a passion to improve their golf to apply to become a Scholar.

What is a Hub Centre?

A Hub Centre is an affiliated golf club that has been approved by BB&O Golf because of its excellent facilities, location and environment that enables junior golf to flourish. A Hub Centre has at least one PGA Coach attached to it who can provide expert tuition and has a previous track record of producing talent particularly in the U12 age group.

To become a scholar, you must fit the criteria detailed below.

  • Aged between 8 – 11 (U12 on 1st January)
  • Must be able to demonstrate competent golfing ability
  • An official CONGU handicap is not essential
  • Must be a home member of a BB&O affiliated golf club
