The counties best U14’s descended upon Beaconsfield Golf Club for the BB&O U14 & U12 Championship. Alessandro Zhang used his home advantage as he took the top spot in the U12’s division by 5 shots ahead of Hiroyoshi Jo (Castle Royle). Congratulations to Alessandro who is crowned the U12 Champion!
George Howell (Datchet) set the pace with a fantastic score of -2 which included 3 birdies and 2 eagles. Excitement started to build around the final groups as they knew the benchmark that had been set. Arthur Scott (The Caversham) put up a great fight however he came up short shooting 71 (-1). Despite back to back birdies to finish, fellow Caversham member, Dominic Rosser finished 1 shot shy and finishing in third on count back to Arthur. Congratulations to George whose name will be engraved alongside Eddie Pepperell and Conor Gough on the trophy.
It’s great to see that the majority of the boys have progressed from the U12 Development Tour and are now competing to a high standard. We look forward to following their progression and watching them lift many more trophies.
