County v Middlesex

County v Middlesex

We had a good win at Stanmore against Middlesex on 10th September. Needing to win by 9-3 to win the League we got off to a great start and ought to have won the foursomes 4-0. Unfortunatley that turned into 3-1 and left us a huge task to win 6 of 8 games in the afternoon. At one point in looked possible but it wasn’t to be and we shared the afternoon singles 4-4. Luke Williams (Donnington Grove) played his 5th League match and was awarded his ‘colours’ by the outgoing Captain – Malcolm Reid – who has done a great job over the past few years; but has had to settle for 2nd place in the League each season.
