EG SE Junior Foursomes
The Junior Elite Squad put in a good performance at Dunstable Downs over 2 days in the England Golf South East Group Junior Foursomes. Having won this in 2011 and were just a missed putt away from retaining it last year, we hoped to put in a strong challenged again in this round robin format. This year, the two relegated Counties were Middlesex and Suffolk with Bedfordshire and Norfolk coming back in. On Day 1 we led after the morning matches but slipped back in the afternoon after only picking up one half match. After the morning of Day 2 we had held our position but were still a point behind Sussex and despite 2 wins in the afternoon we could not claw back the difference and lost out by the narrowest of margins. Kent finished 3rd and Hertfordshire and Norfolk were relegated.
