Seniors Championship

Tim Whittaker won the Seniors Championship at his first attempt at his Home course of Beaconsfield on 19th and 20th May. After day 1 Tim was tied with David Niven (Newbury & Crookham) with defending Champion, George Wilson (Calcot Park) just 1 shot back. These were great scores considering the windy, wet conditions that also included the odd spell of thunder mixed with hailstones. Day 2 was better but still breezy, with the greens a touch quicker as well. With just a few holes to go David was 2 shots clear, but as he faltered over the closing stretch, Tim was going in the opposite direction and birdied the last 2 holes to win by 5 shots.

In the Age Group Divisions there were wins for Rod Crisp (Ellesborough) in the Over 70s, Chris Osborne (Temple) in the 65-69 bracket, Phil Sewell in the 60-64 bracket, with Tim Whittaker picking up the 55-59 Trophy.
