Douglas Johns Trophy

Douglas Johns Trophy

Conor Gough (Stoke Park) continued his very successful summer campaign by adding the Douglas Johns Trophy to his list of honours. Just 1 shot off the lead at lunchtime he trailed Enrique Dimayuga (Cuddington) who had a very impressive 4 under par round of 65. Callum Macfie (Lindrick) was a further shot back after a 68 and Tom Gregory (Stoke Park) was also in contention after a level par 69. The afternoon conditions were a bit more difficult and a few of the leaders were dropping shots on their front nines. With just a few holes to play in was between Conor and Cullum with just a shot between them. Callum parred his last 3 holes but Conor made a good up and down at his 16th then followed it with two great birdies to finish in style and win by 3 shots.
