Hillman Trophy

Hillman Trophy

In a hard fought final, Woburn managed to beat The Lambourne by 2 points around Studley Wood Golf Club on Sunday 9th October. After the first three matches honours were even but then Woburn edged ahead in three of the next four matches to take the trophy for the first time since 2003. Woburn’s seven man team of Alan Featherstone, Mo Dewji, Mark Randall, Dave Fensome, Justin Pardy, Kevin Byram and David Allison were captained by Andy Geddes. Andy was pleased not only with the victory, but also commended The Lambourne for the spirit in which the game was played and the quality of golf played. The Mark Davies (Lambourne) match against Mark Randall (Woburn) was typical of the encounter as he came back from four down to half the match on the 18th green!
