Futures Tour Goring & Streatley

Futures Tour Goring & Streatley

The seventh Futures Tour event of the season was held at Goring & Streatley. On a wet and windy summers day the scoring conditions were very difficult but the boys prepared well and took the challenge head on.

In the U15 section Archie Smith (Caversham Heath) took the title with a wonderful gross 70 (-1). This was good enough to give him a 6 shot cushion over fellow Caversham Heath player Will Tate. Aidan Benger (Studley Wood) took the net title with a 70. In second was Oscar Fowler (Stoke Park) with a fine 72.

In the U14 section Ben Loveard (Woburn) continued his fine form and his gross 73 (+2) secured him the title. Back in second was Harry Thomas (Drayton Park) who shot a credible 76 (+5). Tom Stephenson-Green (Frilford Heath) took the net title with a very good 69. This was good enough to beat home player Harry Gale (Goring & Streatley) on countback.

In the U12 section Joseph Lawton (East Berkshire) battled the weather to shoot 89 (+18). This pipped Connor Jacob (Newbury & Crookham) on countback. Bradley Hopkin’s (Newbury & Crookham) net 75 secured him the title over Ferdie Armitage (Ellesborough) on countback.

The OOM’s have been updated and its Simon Mead (Newbury & Crookham) who leads the U12. Ben Loveard (Woburn) who leads the U14 and Will Tate (Caversham Heath) leads the U15.
