East Berkshire Stag

East Berkshire Stag

The East Berkshire Stag is a prestigious event not only within BB&O but within other Counties. Not only is there an individual prize over 36 holes but also a County Team prize. With a strong field of 69 players containing some of the best local players it proved to be a great tournament. The individual prize was won by the current BB&O Champion Tim Shin (Castle Royle) after two rounds of 70 (140, +2). In second place and two shots back after rounds of 73 & 69 (+4) was Alex Nicholls (Goring & Streatley). In joint second and equalling Alex’s total was Thomas Lawton (East Berkshire).

Having taken the individual honours the team of Peter Handcock (Harleyford), Adam Batty (Beaconsfield) & Tim Shin also secured the team win. To go with Tim’s two rounds of 70 Adam shot 70 & 73 and Peter followed an 82 with an equalling best score of the day, 68. This victory ensured that BB&O retained the title for a second consecutive year.
