South African Amateur Championship

First team squad members Olly Huggins and Peter Handcock are continuing their fine form in South Africa. This week they are competing in the South African Amateur Championship where Olly finished T-15 to comfortably qualify for the matchplay. Peter had an impressive finish with 3 birdies in the last 4 holes to also qualify for the knockout stage. Olly managed to win his first round match 3&2 however Peter was nip and tuck and his opponent holed a 20ft eagle putt on the 18th to win 1 up.

A great achievement for both players, we wish Olly the best of luck for the next round.

Olly continued his impressive form and made it to the quarter-finals, unfortunately he got beat on the 18th by Jake Bolton.

Well played Olly – a strong performance.
