Golf Returns but with Restrictions!

Golf Returns but with Restrictions!

Following the government announcement on 28th May, England Golf, along with other governing bodies, have released a statement which explains that courses can now operate threeball and fourball groups.

To view the full statement click HERE

You will note they also mention that competition golf may be played. Temporary Rules were recently published by the R&A to allow for the restrictions having to be put in place by clubs. To view these temporary changes click HERE  but please remember safe procedures must be in place to cover any registration, collection of fees and submission of scores. If this cannot be accommodated then only friendly golf is advised.

CONGU will allow scores to qualify towards handicap – click HERE for details.

BB&O EVENTS

Whilst it is encouraging that golf is now able to be played, further restrictions need to be removed before an outside tournament administrator, such as ourselves, will be able to safely host events. We are regularly reviewing the situation and will resume County Golf once we are able to operate safely for both our volunteers and players and still maintain the quality of our events.

The South Eastern Group have cancelled all the County Leagues and so league matches are also cancelled. We are currently hoping to return to competition golf in July but this is obviously dependent on government legislation.

To clarify, the below fixtures are definitely cancelled
