BB&O in contention

BB&O in contention

Another great week for Ben Loveard (Woburn) who performed very well in tough conditions at Broadstone Golf Club in The Carris Trophy. Ben shot 71 first round followed by a 68 to finish on -1after 2 rounds. The third round got cancelled due to the poor weather. Ben finished 4th – a great finish! Other BB&O players who made the cut were George Johnson (+4), Will Tate (+5), Carl Banner (+5) and Tom Stephenson-Green (+6).

First team player Olly Huggins made the cut in the British Amateur at Royal Birkdale on +3 (T30) and made it through to the matchplay. Olly went on to defeat his first opponent 2&1 in tough conditions. Olly turned his morning match around to win 2&1 which progresses him to the final 16. Unfortunately Olly bowed out just before the quarter finals, a great run and solid golf played -well done Olly!
