Butteriss becomes U14 Champion

The U14 championship was held at Beaconsfield Golf Club, where 30 boys were competing to be the BB&O U14 and U12 champion. Thomas Broomfield (Bearwood Lakes) set the pace of the day in the nett event by shooting a 68 (-4) which was matched by Cayden Bray (Frilford Heath) and Thomas James (Drayton Park). Thomas lead the way in the U12 nett competition while Cayden sneaked ahead of Thomas in the U14’s on count back.  Both Thomas and Cayden won their age group net prizes.

Freddie Wheeler (Tadmarton Heath) set the clubhouse target of 82 in the U14 gross category, Oscar Bolton (Drayton Park) & Alfie Westbrook (Wexham Park) soon matched this. Alfie Burt (Wexham Park) had a great round shooting 75 (+3) which took the lead and would prove difficult to beat as the wind got up. Despite blustery conditions, Daniel Butteriss (Beaconsfield) used his home advantage to take the top spot with a gross 73 to become the BB&O U14 Champion. Jakob Payne took the early lead in the U12 gross category with an 86 but Sander Andreasen (Maidenhead) eventually took the top spot by shooting two shots better.  Congratulations to Sander on becoming the BB&O U12 Champion!

Thank you to Beaconsfield for hosting a great event!
