Gerrards Cross are Victorious

With two years passing since we last ran the Junior Champion Club, Calcot Park were heading in as defending champions on their own track. Within BB&O 19 clubs were represented by a team of three juniors each. Joe Mannion (Gerrards Cross) went out early and set the course alight with a very impressive net 58 to give Gerrards Cross a team total of -12 with only one player in! After Jenna Campbell-Byrne and Alex Keen returned their cards, Gerrards Cross were on a team total of -5. Nathan Davis, Lewis Thomas and Samuel Rhys Thomas represented Reading Golf Club and finished on a very respectable +2.

Connor Jacob had a flurry of birdies on the way to shooting 68 which gave Goring & Streatley a 6th place finish. Ben McFadden had a very steady round of 70 to take Castle Royle into contention on a team score of +3. Grace Beardsley had a great round of net 72 to give Drayton Park a great start to the event. Thomas James and Oscar Bolton kept Drayton in contention but just came up short finishing in 3rd place on count back to Reading Golf Club.

Congratulations to Gerrards Cross who will go on and represent BB&O in the national final at Woodhall Spa in August.
