Jakob wins at Hadden Hill

Jakob wins at Hadden Hill

The penultimate Futures Tour event headed to Hadden Hill on Sunday 25th September. Dan Butteriss (Beaconsfield) took an early lead in the U16’s category with a gross 76, and with the Order of Merit nearly completed, Dan needed a solid finish to secure the OOM win. Billy Wood (Lambourne) managed one better and added another win with a well earned 75.  Alfie Westbrook (Frilford Heath) took the top spot in the U16’s net category with a 72.

Archie Sollis (Cotswold Club) had an eagle and three birdies on his way to shooting 74 and setting a clubhouse target in the U14’s event. Jakob Payne (Burford) had a very steady back nine with 8 pars to shoot 73 and sneak ahead of Archie on the U14’s leaderboard. Jakob’s 73 was low enough to take home the U14’s gross prize for the event. Archie’s second place finish in the gross event gave him enough Order of Merit points to secure the victory for the U14’s with one event left. Isaac Hayes (Feldon Valley) led the way in the U12’s category with an 81. Oliver O’Dell (Goring & Streatley) finished with an 82 to finish just behind Isaac.

Congratulations to Billy, Jakob and Isaac on winning their respective age categories.
