John & Chris are victorious

A full field of 40 players (20 teams) endured the strong winds on Monday 15th April at The Caversham in the BB&O Senior Series 4BBB event. These are scratch stableford events for golfers who are 50 years and older to provide a pathway to the BB&O Seniors Team which starts at the age of 55. Alan Gaffney and Richard Stow, both from Henley Golf Club, took the early lead with 34 points which was a very good score in the challenging conditions. Andy Elmey & Alex Gavrilovic, from Frilford Heath Golf Club, were able to match 34 points but they snuck into the lead on count back. Chris Wilkins & Steve Roberts, from Sonning Golf Club, gave everyone a putting lesson on their way to shooting 39 points and taking the lead. John Kennedy (Frilford Heath) & Chris Harrison (Newbury & Crookham), had 5 birdies on their way to claiming the title with 40 points. Congratulations to John & Chris!

Thank you to The Caversham on hosting a great event!
