Ed wins at Goring & Streatley

A stellar field assembled at Goring & Streatley for their scratch open. Ed Davis (Studley Wood) and Connor Jacob (Goring & Streatley) led the way on -4 after the first round. Ed continued his fine form in the afternoon shooting -1 whilst Henry Drake (Calcot Park) carded a superb -4 in the afternoon to match Ed’s -5 total. Both Ed and Henry headed down the first in a sudden death  play-off. where a cool headed birdie on the first play-off hole secured the victory for Studley Woods’s Ed Davis. Congratulations to Ed on winning the Lane Trophy!

Henry’s second place finish meant he climbed into first place on the current Order of Merit standings. With four events left until we crown our Order of Merit winner, it promises to be an exciting close to the season.
