Alfie Burt On Top At Hadden Hill

Alfie Burt On Top At Hadden Hill

A strong wind swept through Hadden Hill for the BB&O Futures Tour. This tree lined course was made even tighter by powerful cross winds that made the second nine particularly difficult. With the low handicappers going out first, Matthew Heys showed a promising return to form and carded a 76 before fellow Wexham Park member, Alfie Burt returned a 74 having played in the final group. This was Alfie’s fourth win on the Futures Tour this year and puts him in the driving seat on the Order of Merit with just one event left to play. Rohan Gill (Burnham Beeches) topped the nett competition with a fine 69.

In the Under 14 Category, BB&O squad players Aziz Chaudhary (Beaconsfield) and Marcus Smith (Castle Royle) fought a close battle before Marcus took the title with a 77 leaving him two shots clear of Aziz. Marcus also tops the Under 14 Order of Merit but has a couple of other boys snapping at his heels. Jasper Wheeler (Beaconsfield) recovered brilliantly after a poor start to the back 9 to take the nett prize with a well deserved 69.

Sebastian Duffield (Sand Martins) continued to dominate the Under 12 Division with his sixth win out of seven events played. His 81 was too for the rest of the field and he finished five shots clear of runner up Flynn Kennard of Bearwood Lakes. Mason Heys continues to improve and won the nett prize with a 72.
