Archie is our Junior Champion

A full field of 60 players battled it out in the BB&O Junior Championship at the Buckinghamshire Golf Club. As the temperature soared the scoring was on fire. In the nett competition Thomas Owen (Frilford Heath) scored a 69 (-3) which was enough to win by 1 stroke ahead of Aman Shah (Gerrards Cross) and Daniel Butteries (Wexham Park) on 70.

Congratulations to Edward Davis (Studley Wood) who shot a gross 75 to become our Under 15 Champion. Ben McFadden (Castle Royle) shot a -4 back nine on his way to shooting 70 to win our U16 Championship.

Charlie Haynes (Frilford Heath) set the pace with a gross 71 (-1) which held the lead until the final group came in. Battling it out in the final group was Taylor Paul (Stoke Park) and Archie Smith (Bearwood Lakes) who between them had 13 birdies. Taylor shot an impressive 67 (-5) which fell just short. Archie Smith shot a -5 back nine to finish one shot ahead of Taylor Paul on 66 (-6) – awesome golf!

Congratulations to Archie Smith on an incredible round of golf to become our BB&O Junior Champion!
