BB&O Boys Show Early Season Promise

BB&O Boys Show Early Season Promise

Tom and James Gregory competed in the U21 Portuguese Global Intercollegiate Open over the weekend.

Eighty European players with handicaps of 3.5 or less played over the Penha Longa Championship course which sits just outside Lisbon. With winds of up to 30 MPH along with driving rain conditions were challenging to say the least.

After a tough 54 holes, James finished a creditable 11th but was upstaged a little by his 13 year old brother Tom who controlled his ball flight beautifully throughout to finish 3rd. As the youngest player in the field, this was quite a performance.

2016 was a fantastic year for the BB&O Juniors and by the looks of things 2017 is set to follow on in the same light.
