BB&O Junior Tours become DP World Tour Approved

The Development & Futures Tours have become a DP World Tour Approved Development Programme. We are the first county in the country to achieve this accreditation.

The Development Tour is the first stage in our performance pathway and is open to golfers under the age of 12 with a handicap above 24.5 or no handicap. They are played over short/par 3 courses with two different age categories – U10 & U12.

Once the player has reduced their handicap below 24.5 they will graduate to the Futures Tour which is open to golfers under the age 16. Within these events we offer prizes in three age categories – U12, U14 & U16. The U12’s compete off the red tees to ease the transition from the Development Tour and the U14’s & U16’s play off the whites. Throughout the season players can collect Order of Merit points at each event and the winners are announced at the grand final in October.

These events provide a competitive environment for juniors to thrive and develop their game as they progress through the performance pathway.

More information on the Junior Tours can be found here.
