The Futures Tour headed to Maidenhead on Thursday 14th August where a full field of 60 players competed for their chance to pick up some Order of Merit points before the final few events of the season. Arthur Scott (The Caversham) came back in level park to help secure the U12’s title, 1 shot ahead of Beau Wheeler (Burford). Arthur now sits 17 points clear in the U12’s Order of Merit with 2 events remaining. It was a closely fought contest on the U14’s age division as Callum Ewart (Bearwood Lakes) was looking to continue his winning streak but he just fell short sitting in third place on +7 as Vinnie James (Drayton Park) snuck ahead into second on count back. Jack Temple (Royal Ascot) had four birdies on route to shooting 75 to win the U14’s. Marcus Smith (Castle Royle) and Isaac Hayes (Feldon Valley) battled it out as they both shot +1 however two late birdies for Isaac meant he was able to clinch the victory. Isaac’s win has pushed him up into second on the Order of Merit leaderboard as he trails Ollie O’Dell (The Springs).

The BB&O First Team had their third league match of the season on Sunday 17th August as they played Bedfordshire at home. A strong morning foursomes session meant that BB&O had a 4-0 lead heading into the afternoon singles. The first two singles matches went to Bedfordshire but wins for Harry Thomas (Frilford Heath), Ben Loveard (Woburn), Thomas Taylor-Cross (The Springs), Drew Rolfe (Calcot Park) & Car Banner (Beaconsfield) secured BB&O a 9-3 victory. BB&O currently sit in second place in the league with one match to go.

The U16’s & U18’s won their league divisions by the narrowest of margins and now head to their respective league finals in September. The Senior’s Team had their final league match on Thursday 21st August against Hertfordshire at Harewood Downs Golf Club. It all came down to the wire but the final three matches fell in BB&O’s favour with a 6.5-3.5 win. BB&O will now wait to see if they won the league as the last matches need to be played to decide the winner.
