Bradley clinches Spring Trophy

BB&O’s first ‘major’ of the season took place at Temple Golf Club where everyone was competing for their chance to lift the Spring Trophy. With the field at maximum capacity it was set to be an exciting start to the season. The tournament featured a diverse field of competitors, ranging from experienced county-level players to emerging talents. The format allowed for both competitive intensity and opportunities for player development, making it a valuable fixture in the county calendar.

U16 squad member, Thomas James (Frilford Heath) birdied the last to take the clubhouse lead with 73 (+3). Bradley Hopkin (Newbury & Crookham) and Olly Hunt (Beaconsfield) both shoot level par to take the lead with half the field still to return a score. The chasing pack continues to grow with 5 players on +2. Ashley Watkins (Calcot Park) & Oliver Martin (Sand Martins) joined Bradley and Olly on level par so the winner was decided by count back. An under par back nine from Bradley secured him the trophy with Olly in second and Oliver in third.

Congratulations to Bradley on winning the Spring Trophy. Thank you to Temple Golf Club for hosting a superb event.
