Club Foursomes

Club Foursomes

The Club Foursomes was held at the sun soaked Studley Wood Golf Club in Oxfordshire on Friday 29th June. There was a strong field of 38 pairs that took part from a wide variety of clubs within BB&O. Starting with the scratch results, David Langley & Tim Shin took the title back to Castle Royle for the second year running with a two round total of 143 (-3). This impressive total included a first round 66 (-7) and by all accounts it could have been even lower. In second place and just two shots behind on 145 (-1) was Melan Dhaubhadel & Shane Slatter of Calcot Park. In third and just a further shot back on 146 (Level) was Alfie Forisky & Adam Birdseye of Maidenhead.

As this is event has scratch & net trophies any team can feature in both sets of prizes. Alfie Forisky & Adam Birdseye sealed the net title with an impressive 142. In second and to add to their second place in the gross was Melan Dhaubhadel & Shane Slatter with 147. In third on 149 and beating four other pairs on countback was Lee White & Peter Clements of Frilford Heath.

Our thanks go to Studley Wood for hosting the event and for preparing the golf course impeccably in the difficult hot conditions.
