Daniel shoots 71 to lift the trophy

The Futures Tour headed to Maidenhead Golf Club on Thursday 19th August. Yash Patel (Gerrards Cross) set the pace in the U12’s by shooting a great round of net 69. Josh Waldegrave (Gerrards Cross) matched Yash’s 69 however this fell short of Aziz Chaudhary (Wexham Park) who shot a very impressive net 66. Jakob Payne (Bicester) matched Aziz’s gross 83 to take the lead on count back, which was enough to take the U12 gross prize just ahead of Aziz and Yash won the net prize with a 69.

Jack Chantrey (Newbury & Crookham) took the lead in the U14 section with a gross 79. Alfie Westbrook (Frilford Heath) went 2 shots better and returned a very solid 77 (net 67). Archie Sollis (Cotswolds Club) just edged ahead on countback until Daniel Butteriss (Beaconsfield) continued his fine form and played his way into the lead with a 71 (+1). Meanwhile in the net section, Cayden Bray (Frilford Heath) topped the leaderboard with a 67, 3 shots ahead of Kai Radmore (Stoke Park). Congratulations to Daniel and Cayden on winning the U14’s prizes.

Toby Wickham (Tadmarton Heath) set a good clubhouse target in the U16 net category with a 68. Liam Heath (Tadmarton Heath) shot a gross 75 to take the lead in the gross category. Toby Pressey (Castle Royle) had 3 birdies on the back nine to fight back and shoot 72 (+2) and take a 3 shot lead ahead of Liam. Toby’s back nine was enough to secure him the victory on count back to Ed Davis (Studley Wood). Congratulations to Toby on winning the U16 gross prize and Toby Wickham on winning the net.

Thank you to Maidenhead for hosting a great event, the course was in fantastic condition and it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!
