Daniel wins back to back

The Futures Tour headed to Henley Golf Club on Wednesday 25th August. Thomas James (Frilford Heath) recovered after a tricky start to shoot 86 and lead the U12’s event by 3 shots ahead of Dylan Zhang (Hinksey Heights). Thomas won the U12 gross prize and Theo Becker (Drayton Park) won the net prize with a 70.

The weather was perfect golfing condition which Eli Matthews (Goring & Streatley) took full advantage of shooting 82 (net 67) to sit top of the U14 leaderboard. Jack Chantrey (Newbury & Crookham) shot a 81 to overtake Eli at the top however, he wasn’t alone at the top for long as Alex Keen (Gerrards Cross) matched his 81. Alfie Westbrook (Frilford Heath) had a great round shooting 75 (net 66) to take the lead. Daniel Butteriss (Beaconsfield) shot a -1 back nine to shoot 70 and lift the trophy for the U14’s. Eli Matthews won the U14’s net prize with a 67. 

Joseph Lawton (East Berkshire) played solid and produced a round of 73 (+3) to set a clubhouse target in the U16 category. Simon Mead (Newbury & Crookham) matched the 73 however Joseph stayed at the top on count back. Congratulations to Joseph who won the U16 trophy. Jamie Smith (Stoke Park) won the U16 net prize with a 70 ahead of Kaylan Gonzalez (East Berkshire).
