Drayton Park are Hillman Champions!
The final of the Hillman Trophy and Hillman Plate took place on Sunday 2nd October. The final of the Hillman Plate between Tadmarton Heath and Radley Golf Club was held at Harewood Downs Golf Club. The teams were evenly matched which showed in the results as after 4 matches were finished the scores were 2-2. Both teams won a point in matches 5 and 6 which meant it all came down to the final match between Russel Andrews (Tadmarton Heath) and Dave Warrell (Radley). Russel was able to sneak ahead and claim the victory for Tadmarton Heath. Congratulations to Tadmarton Heath who were crowned BB&O Hillman Plate winners!
Meanwhile at Oxford Golf Club, the Hillman Trophy final was being contested between Drayton Park and Studley Wood. Every match went to at least the 17th hole in this thrilling final. The match was level after 5 matches with the scores standing at 2.5 points each. Andrew Hallett went dormie 2 up securing the next point for Drayton Park. It all came down to the final match, Jason Champion from Drayton Park was 1 up heading up the 17th and managed to claim the winning point on the 17th green. Congratulations to Drayton Park who are the 2022 BB&O Hillman Trophy winners!
