England Golf County Qualifiers

England Golf County Qualifiers

All three of the England Golf South East County Qualifiers have now been played. We had high hopes of being successful in all three considering the quality of our squads. Unfortunately, our performances at Hendon and Porters Park were way short of expectation and we finished 6th in both. Very disappointing to say the least.

The good news is, the Seniors finally came up trumps having suffered numerous 2nd place finishes behind Kent, with a great win by 22 shots at Thorpeness. Leading by 11 after the first day, the team all played really steadily to add another 11 shots to their lead over Kent. All the players made a contribution over the two days on what was a very difficult course as evident from the scores from some VERY good players in the field. The Seniors now go on to the England final at Robin Hood GC in early October.
