Futures Tour Frilford Heath

Futures Tour Frilford Heath

The Futures Tour reached its climax at Frilford Heath on what was simply an outstanding Autumnal day. The Red course which was recently used for European Tour Qualifying would host the boys and provide a stern test.

The U12 gross section was won by Connor Jacob (Newbury & Crookham) with a gross 85. He pipped Simon Mead (Newbury & Crookham) on countback to claim the final trophy of the season. The net section was won by Charlie Hing (Winter Hill) with a score of 72. This title was also won on countback and in second place was Ben Pusey (Wexham Park).

The U14 gross section was won by local player Harry Thomas (Frilford Heath) with a great score of 73. Just two shots back on 75 was James MacFarlane (Maidenhead). The net section was won by George Davies (Wokefield Park) with a fantastic 66. In second place after scoring a net 69 and also receiving a bonus prize for best speech of the year was Luke Perkins (Frilford Heath).

The U15 gross section was won by a very consistent performer in Will Tate (Caversham Heath) with a very impressive 70 (-2). In second place was Taylor Paul (Stoke Park) with 73. The net section was won by another home player in Charlie Haynes (Frilford Heath) with a net 69. James Casserly (Beaconsfield) was in second place with a 72.

Special thanks to Frilford Heath for hosting us and for providing a wonderful golf course to host our final event. Also to all the other venues we have taken the Tour to this year for being so accomodating. We hope to see many of those who participated during 2017 next year and we wish every success to those who graduate from the U15 section of Futures Tour and we hope that we will see you all on a golf course very soon.
