Futures Tour Hadden Hill

Futures Tour Hadden Hill

The Futures Tour moved onto Hadden Hill and with storms locally leading up the event the players were fortunate that on the day event the sun was out and there were no storms in sight. Due to the downpours the golf course played long and soft but there were still some great scores. In the U12 section Simon Mead (Newbury & Crookham) took the title with a gross score of 79. This beat Rio Mercer-Marsden by two strokes after he fired an 81. The net section was won by Samuel Codrington (Wavendon) with 69. This beat Oliver Mosses (Easthampstead) on countback.

The U14 section was won by Luke Perkins (Frilford Heath) with a great score of 74. This beat Peter Pan (Oxford) who was just two strokes back on 76. A best of the day net score of 65 was good enough to give Ollie Lewis (Wokefield Park) victory in the U14 net section. This beat home player Jack Parry (Hadden Hill) after he fired a 66.

The U15 section was won by and continuing his fine from was Charlie Roper (The Berkshire) after he fired a 74. Four strokes back on 78 was Thomas Owen (Frilford Heath). The net section was won by Huw Pearson (Buckingham) with 72 and in second was Harry Thomas (Frilford Heath) with 73.

Our thanks must got to Hadden Hill for preparing the golf course in fine condition despite the poor weather leading up to the event. The next Futures Tour event is at North Oxford GC on 24th June.
