Futures Tour The Berkshire

Futures Tour The Berkshire

The Futures Tour continued with an event at the iconic The Berkshire and the boys competed around the famous Blue Course. The weather had threatened to spoil play but fortunately no more than a few drops of rain fell.

In the U12 net section Jack Walters (Goring & Streatley) was the winner with 69 and this was good enough to pip Oliver Kelloway (Woburn) on countback. In the gross section Simon Mead pick ed up another win with an astonishing score of 71. In second after scoring 80 was Billy Wood (Stoke Park).

The U14 net section was won by Ollie Lewis (Wokefield Park) with 67 and this beat Aaron Graham (Newbury & Crookham) on countback. The gross section was won by Tom Stephenson-Green after he scored an excellent 73. This beat Ben McFadden (Stoke Park) by a single stroke after he shot 74.

Nicolo Borgoricco (Buckinghamshire) won the U15 net section with a brilliant 65. This beat Harry Gale (Goring & Streatley) by four after he posted a net 69. The gross was won by the home player Charlie Roper (The Berkshire) with 70. This beat in form player and recent U15 & U16 Champion Charlie Robb (Buckingham) by a single stroke.

Our thanks must go to The Berkshire for allowing us use the facilities. The scoing would not look out of place at The Berkshire Trophy and who knows one of the above players may go on to win the prestiogous event.
