Harry Fires 66

Harry Fires 66

The Spring Trophy took place at Temple Golf Club on Monday 2nd May with 60 players competing. Billy Wood (Beaconsfield) had a solid round of 72 to get the ball rolling. Billy’s 72 stayed at the top for a while until Harrison Leivers (Tadmarton Heath) matched it. Michael Bower (Burnham Beeches) spiced his round up a little by making a hole in one on the infamous 10th hole on his way to a 76!

Harry Thomas (Frilford Heath) made 6 birdies on his way to shooting a superb 66 (-4)! Half the field were still to come in meaning a long wait for Harry. Rory Browne (Feldon Valley) had a great round but two late bogeys on 16 and 17 pushing him into second place until David Childs (Burford) had a very steady round of 17 pars and 1 birdie to match Rory’s 69 along with Gregor McKenzie (Kirtlington). Ed Davis (Studley Wood), out in the last group, birdied the 18th to take second spot with a 68 (-2). Congratulations to Harry on winning the Spring Trophy!
