Henry Cooper Junior Masters

Henry Cooper Junior Masters

The Henry Cooper Junior Masters is an international junior event where 130 players do battle for the coveted trophy. The course was set up beautifully but a strong wind made scoring difficult. BB&O had 7 players take part, Tom Lawton, Kristian Tannum-Donaldson, Conor Gough, Taylor Paul, Gregor McKenzie, Harrison Arnold and Tom Gregory. This just goes to show the strength in depth that we have amongst our junior section.

Conor and Kristian were selected by England to represent them in the Nations Trophy albeit in different teams. Kristian was part of England Team 3 and finished a respectful 6th while Conor was part of England Team 1 that won. A great achievement and some silverware to add to the growing collection in the Gough household.

In the individual event Harrison and Tom were the only BB&O players to make the cut of the top 40 players. Harrison finished in 25th place with rounds of 71, 73, 78, 73 a +7 total. Tom continued his fine form and not only did he finish in 9th place he won the prize for the lowest U16. His rounds of 72, 75, 69, 72 left him on level par.
