The Final was played on a lovely Autumnal day at Frilford Heath on the Green Course on 23rd October. After 5 rounds Goring & Streatley met Donnington Valley to determine the winners for 2016. Goring & Streatley were conceding in 5 of the 7 singles games and had an early scare when the top player reported in that his car had broken down and he couldn’t make it. The non-playing Captain quickly borrowed some clubs, shoes, balls and tees to fill the spot. He was one of the top 3 for Goring & Streatley, all of whom won, to set up the win by a margin of 4½-2½.

Once again the Match was played in a great spirit and everyone thanked Frilford Heath for hosting a great final.
