Hugh wins the Douglas Johns Trophy

We had 60 boys from all over the country compete in the Douglas Johns Trophy at Harewood Downs Golf Club. After round 1, Hugh Adams (Hagley Golf and Country Club) had a two shot lead after a very impressive morning round of 67 (-2). BB&O squad member Luke Perkins (Frilford Heath) was just 2 shots back shooting a level par 69. It was all to play for in the afternoon with 6 boys all within 4 shots.

The current Reid Champion Hugh Adams was able to maintain his good form heading into the afternoon. The chasing pack were closing in with some great scores in the afternoon, however Hugh shot a solid +2 (71) to finish level par 138 just one shot ahead of Max Adams (Wakefield Golf Club). Luke Perkins finished in third with a total of 140 (+2), a great result!

Thank you to Harewood Downs for hosting a fantastic event and good luck to Hugh who attempts to retain the Reid Trophy next week.
