James wins Spring Trophy

It was a blustery start to the BB&O Spring Trophy as the wind blew and the sporadic rain showers proved challenging for the 60 players who competed at Temple Golf Club. James Harris (Burford) went out early and had a flurry of birdies on the front nine which helped him shoot 70 (level) to set a clubhouse target. The field struggled with the conditions are only two competitors came close to James’ score. Aidan Benger (Studley Wood) shot 71 to finish second place after sneaking ahead of Scott Empson (The Springs) on count back. Logan Matthews (Goring & Streatley) won the handicap prize with a nett 71.

George Evans (Harleyford) celebrated his first hole in one on the 8th hole!

Congratulations to James Harris on winning the Spring Trophy!
