Luke wins at Newbury & Crookham

On Sunday 14th July, 42 boys were competing at Newbury & Crookham in the next stage of the Futures Tour. In the Under 12 category Jake Valentine (Stoke Park) won the gross prize with a 78, 2 shots ahead of Billy Wood (Stoke Park). It was tight in the nett competition with three boys shooting a nett 67. Matthew Heys (Wexham Park) took top spot ahead of Alfie Burt (Wexham Park) on countback.

In the Under 14 category Harvey Dobson (Wexham Park) shot a very impressive nett 64, to win the nett prize by 3 shots ahead of Liam Heath (Tadmarton Heath). Charlie Hing (Castle Royle) shot 74 to finish second in the gross competition, 2 shots behind Simon Mead (Newbury & Crookham). In the Under 16 Category, Ollie Maynard (Drayton Park) won the nett prize shooting a 71, Thomas Ream (Tadmarton Heath) just came up shy with a 72. Luke Perkins (Frilford Heath) maintained his top form shooting 71 to take the trophy ahead of Harry Thomas (Frilford Heath).
