Marc triumphs at Handicap Championship

The Handicap Championship took place at The Caversham – Home of Reading Golf Club on Wednesday 7th July. 54 players were competing for their chance to become the BB&O Handicap Champion. With the first few groups in, it looked like the rough and new layout was proving challenging with 35 points at the top of the leaderboard. With the rain looming it looked like a tough score to beat.

However Marc Dimambro from Maidenhead proved that wrong with a phenomenal 42 points playing off 9. Marc continued to stay at the top of the leaderboard as more groups started to come in. Toby Heywood-Bourne (Reading) benefited from home advantage and scored 38 points which was good enough to finish second, 2 points ahead of Somashekar Avadhani (Richings Park) in third place.

Congratulations to Marc on becoming the BB&O Handicap Champion!

Thank you to The Caversham for hosting a great event – the course looked fantastic!
