Mid Age Championship

Ashley Walton (Frilford Heath) won the Mid Age Championship at The Oxfordshire on 26th May in a close run contest. His morning round of 69 included 8 birdies but only left him 1 shot clear of Will Kendall (Denham) and 2 clear of Kevin Freeman (Stoke Park). As the rain set in for the afternoon, scoring was more difficult and only George Wilson (Calcot Park) was able to beat par. His 71 left him on level par for the day which was later matched by Kevin Freeman but it was Ashley Walton who came through in the end as he compiled a very respectable 73 to finish 2 clear on 2 under par for the day.
