Ryan becomes 25 & Over Champion

It was a misty start to the 25 & Over Championship on Monday 31st August at The Oxfordshire. As the players teed off the fog started to lift and the temperature started to rise. With the new format of 18 holes, John Kennedy (Frilford Heath) set a target of 74 (+2) for the players to match. James Cowen (Mill Ride) had a great round finishing with a net 70 (-2) leading the handicap category. James Bowler (Frilford Heath) came second with a net 72 on count back to Lee Moore (Maidenhead).

Lee Moore (Maidenhead) shot a 72 (level) to take a 2 shot lead ahead of John. Lee didn’t last long at the top as Ryan Greenwood (Tadmarton) had 7 birdies on his way to shoot an awesome 68 (-4). Alex Stubbs (Frilford Heath) had a great round however he fell just one short shooting a 69 (-3). Tom Wilde (Lambourne) snuck into 3rd position with a 71 (-1). Ryan’s 68 proved hard to beat and he became our 25 & Over Champion.

Thank you to The Oxfordshire for hosting a great event and congratulations to Ryan on lifting the trophy.
