The Futures Tour headed to Sand Martins on Thursday 22nd July, where 55 boys were competing for them all important Order of Merit points. With temperatures soaring, the U12’s set a fantastic clubhouse target of a net 63 as Marcus Smith (Stoke Park) shot a gross 79. Aziz Chaudhary (Wexham Park) shot an amazing score of 82 net 64 which just fell short of Marcus. Thomas James (Drayton Park) had a great front 9 on his way to shooting a net 66.

Alfie Burt (Wexham Park) had a great round to win the U14 category with a gross 75 (net 68), 1 shot ahead of Billy Wood (Beaconsfield). With scores heating up in the U14 category there were four boys who shot under par in the net leaderboard with Freddie Wheeler (Tadmarton Heath) leading the way on 66, 1 shot ahead of James Harris (Burford). Conor Jacob (Goring & Streatley) had a steady front nine on the way to shooting 72. However, this fell short as Stanley Kay (Cotswolds Club) who won the U16 gross prize with a 71.
