Titleist Futures Tour

Titleist Futures Tour

The sun was out for our first Titleist Futures Tour event of 2019, held at Ellesborough Golf Club on 15th April. It was a great turnout with 52 boys competing over the three age categories. In the U12s Billy Wood (Stoke Park) came second with a gross 87 falling just short of Oscar Bolton (Drayton Park) shooting a gross 85! The nett competition was won by Archie Sollis (Cotsworlds Club) with a nett 72, with Jack Chantry (Deanwood) in second place with a nett 74.

The U14s saw Simon Mead (Newbury & Crookham) take top spot in the gross competition with a 79, just pipping Connor Jacobs (Frilford Heath) who shot 80. Samuel Codrington (Ellesborough) shot a nett 69 to finish 1st in the nett competition just ahead of Jack Parry (Huntercombe) with a 70. In the U16s Charlie Roper (The Berkshire) finished in style with an eagle on the 18th to win the gross competition with a 76 just two ahead of Harry Thomas (Frilford Heath) who finished second. In the nett competition Lyle McLintock (Temple) finished second with a nett 71 to Ollie Maynard (Drayton Park) who shot nett 70.

Thank you to Ellesborough and their team for hosting the day, and Titleist for supporting the Futures Tour. Well played to all the boys and we look forward to seeing you at our next Futures Tour event at Temple on 12th May.
