U14’s beat both Middlesex and Bedfordshire

Match Played Thursday 6th April at Bedford & County GC:  Beds / Middx / BB&O U14 Triangular League

This was a thrilling day’s golf on a sunny day at the beautifully kept Bedford & County GC.  Congratulations to the team on winning the first two league matches of the season.

BB&O was ahead in both matches after the foursomes (played over 10 holes), but had a sluggish start to the afternoon with only 3 points out of a possible 10 in the first five triangular singles matches.  The “tail wagged” brilliantly with Huw Pearson, George Davies and Simon Mead (on debut for the U14s) bringing home a maximum six points in the last three groupings, all with good winning margins.  BB&O ran out 8-4 winners against Bedfordshire, and just pipped Middlesex by a point having trailed 5.5 to 3.5 with three matches to go.

Every player contributed on the BB&O side.

Congratulations also to our travelling reserves Harry Thomas and Taylor Arnold who won maximum points from their friendly foursomes and singles matches.
