South England Boys Open (SEBO)

South England Boys Open (SEBO)

BB&O were well represented in the South England Boys Open (SEBO) with 8 boys out of a field of 66. SEBO is one of the Country’s premier Junior 72 hole stroke play completions that is always competed for over courses at Sherborne GC and Yeovil GC.

Three BB&O boys (Gregor McKenzie, Taylor Paul and Charlie Herbert ) finished in the top 10 of the U18 competition with Nick Elmey, Thomas Lawton and Harrison Arnold also posting top 25 finishes.

Gregor’s excellent total of -2 (284) was good enough to win the U16 competition, 1 stroke ahead of England star Barclay Brown. The 2017 Douglas Johns winner, Oliver Dickman, was 11 shots adrift of Gregor’s winning total. Well done to Gregor on a fine tournament win. Stoke Park’s Taylor Paul finished 6th overall (Level Par) and 3rd in the U16 category. Newly crowned BB&O Junior Champion, Charlie Herbert, posted a +3 total of 289 which saw him finish 10th.

It’s been a fabulous week for our BB&O boys with SEBO’s results added to by Conor Gough’s excellent showing in the Home Internationals and Tom Gregory’s in the REID Trophy, were he currently lies in 7th place.
