Spring Trophy

Spring Trophy

The Spring Trophy signifies the start of the season for the BB&O men’s calendar. As always the event was held at the wonderful Temple in Berkshire which was set up perfectly and the weather albeit a little hot made it close to perfect golfing conditions.

Although the Spring Trophy is awarded to the best gross score there were a couple of net prizes up for grabs. The net prize was won by Tom Stephenson-Green (Frilford Heath) with a fine 69. This was good enough to beat Callum Keogh (Burnham Beeches) by a single stroke who shot a net 70. The winner of the Spring Trophy was Phil Williams (Buckinghamshire) who fired a very impressive 67 (-3). This was good enough to seal victory by 2 strokes. In second place after a solid 69 was Adam Batty (Beaconsfield) and a further 2 strokes back on 71 was Lee White (Frilford Heath). Our thanks must go to all the staff at Temple for hosting us so wonderfully and for preparing a fantastic test of golf. Once again congratulations to Phil Williams on a terrific performance.
