BB&O Slightly Behind on Day One of the County Finals

County Finals – Day 1

BB&O faced Gloucestershire on day 1 of the County Finals at a cool, breezy Aldeburgh Golf Club. In the morning fousomes David Langley (Castle Royle) and Olly Huggins (Frilford Heath) won their match 3 and 2 and Tim Shin (Castle Royle and Alex Nicholls (Goring and Streatley) went one better with a 4 and 3 victory. With Adam Birdseye (Maidenhead) and George Baylis (Castle Royle) narrowly losing BB&O held a 2-1 lead going into the afternoon singles.

In hard fought matches Alex Nicholls, Harrison Arnold (Castle Royle), Tim Shin and Olly Huggins lost. With victories from George Baylis and David Langley BB&O just lost overall and now face Yorkshire on the second day. Victory in the Finals is still possible, but only a win over Yorkshire will give BB&O a chance.
