Sanders Wins Mid-Age Championship

On Monday 27th May, 35 players were competing in the Mid-Age Championship at The Oxfordshire. The morning round saw Michael Sanders (Beaconsfield) and 2018 Champion Dan Caton (Burnham Beeches) both firing a 73 (+1) in the tough conditions. Not far behind were five strong players having shot 75 (+3). Dave Williams (Caversham Heath) shot a nett 71 to creep ahead of the pack in the nett category.

Michael Sanders was able to maintain his good form in the afternoon as the wind picked up shooting another 73 (+1) for a 146 (+2) total, just 2 shots ahead of Aaron Ashberry (Burford) who shot an impressive 71 (-1) in the afternoon to pip Ben Welch (Drayton Park) by 1 shot. Two steady rounds from Chris Osment saw him win the nett prize with 146 (+2), sneaking ahead of Thomas Robertshaw (Sonning).

Thank you to The Oxfordshire for hosting us for the day, well played to all the competitors.
