BB&O Club Support Officer

England Golf are recruiting a Club Support Officer to work in the BB&O region. 

England Golf’s 2017-2021 strategy has a strong focus on supporting Stronger Counties and Clubs. Club Support Officers are core to this delivery and provide a customer focused service to counties and clubs based on the demand within a designated region. They support activities identified within County Action Plans to provide bespoke support to golf clubs looking to improve their business, increase their membership and player base and offering innovative solutions. A key purpose is to help promote and raise awareness of our strategic ambitions and initiatives, including focus on marketing core market golfers within a designated region.This vacancy covers the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire region. Applicants will need to live within the main work area associated with this role.

We are seeking candidates, ideally, with a sports related diploma and sports development experience. You must have a good knowledge of the structure of golf (general and administrative) and sport in general. The skills required include the ability to communicate and present, work collaboratively with both paid staff and volunteers and IT skills. You will also need to be highly motivated. Prior work experience in golf club environment and/or programme delivery is desirable but not essential. These positions are home based, although successful candidates will be required to travel as necessary to meetings (valid driving licence & car owner is essential). The post-holder will be entitled to travel and other expenses.
