Freddie wins at Sand Martins

The BB&O U16 Futures Tour headed to Sand Martins on Monday 24th July. It has a tradition of hot and sunny weather however this year we were treated to a damp and cloudy day. Freddie Wheeler (Tadmarton Heath) went out early and took advantage of the conditions, with birdies on 15 &16, he signed for an impressive 68 (-2) to set a target for the boys coming in. Henry Plant (The Springs) had 3 birdies to steal the U16’s nett prize with a 64. Jakob Payne (Burford) also finished with 2 birdies in the last 3 holes to shoot 74 to take the lead in the U14’s age category. Josh Waldegrave (Gerrards Cross) also carded a 74 however shot +1 on the back nine just finishing shy of Jakob on count back. Jack Isard (Frilford Heath) had a superb front nine on his way to shooting a nett 64 to win the U14’s nett prize. Flynn Kennard (Bearwood Lakes) stormed to victory in the U12’s gross category with a great round of 78 – a fantastic round!

Congratulations to our winners today, there were some very impressive scores. The futures for BB&O is bright with the talent on display.
